DO’S AND DON’TS

  • Do not panic when you find that your data is lost. No matter how important the data is, panicking will do you no good and you may even try to make recovery attempts that might lead to further catastrophe.
  • Do switch off your system as soon as you hear any noise from the hard disk. This could imply that your hard disk has just failed and running it further may cause more damages.
  • Do not look into unreliable online sources and attempt to fix things yourself. Unless you have basic tech knowledge and previous experiences with data loss, it would be unwise trying to recover the data by yourself. Contact specialized data recovery providers to safely retrieve your data.
  • Do not download application programs and third party software from unknown or shady websites. There is a good chance these softwares contain malicious viruses or serious data violence components. Do not use third party softwares to do anything with your hard disk either.
  • Before you perform operations like resetting, reinstallation or upgrading, do backup your data by some means. You should backup your data as early as you can. You can back up your data as often as you want to, but the important thing is that you should.
  • If your find your hard disk corrupted, do not attempt to physically fix the problem by disassembling it. If you are not familiar with the physical handling of a hard disk, you may loss your important data for good. This will also make it harder for the recovery engineers to get back your lost data.
  • Relax and do call the technicians at Quick data recovery to retrieve your data quickly and safely.
